Slow worm mats

You may have noticed numbered mats on the nature reserve.They are there so the Rangers can assess the slow worm population. (not too good last year apparently)

One year a very kind man put them all in a tidy pile as he thought someone had dumped them there.I helped him put them all back.He was very embarassed
