Hello All,

I can now confirm that the annual Bramble and Scrub Bash will take place on Satrurday 12th January, from 10:00 til 13:00. As usual, it will involve cutting and burning bramble and small trees to maintain the balance of grassland and scrub on the Reserve. No experience is needed, and tools are provided. We do recommend warm clothes and sturdy boots though!

For more details, and to book, visit www.worcester.gov.uk/parks and scroll down to the events list.

We hope to see you in the New Year!

Heather (Ranger Team)

Hi folks,

Less than 2 weeks til the Bramble Bash on the 12th! We hope that a few keen residents will come along, but so far we only have one booking!
You can book as in the above post, or just let us know on here, so we can get an idea of numbers for tools/gloves/ spuds!

All the best for the New Year,

Heather (Assistant Ranger)

I am afraid that I won't be able to join you, as I have a prior commitment.  I hope you have good weather and enjoy your bashing!!

I've just had a quick word with Heather and she said that it will be fine if you just turn up on the day with out registering first, but you will have to bring your own spuds!  ;)

Perishing cold, but as always, good fun at the bramble bash.Hot chocolate and stollen mid morning to keep us going.

Steve and Trev were the Rangers present(they stayed for hours after we left at oneish,to try and finish burning the brambles we'd cut down).

You can see volunteers Niki,Annie and Rob in the photos, and the huge area cleared.Denzel the dog supervized and guarded us all beautifully :)
